The competition which is being promoted and organised by Romarox Resources Ltd., and unveiled on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the prestigious Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi, Lagos, is aimed at showcasing through pictures, tourism sites, potentials and opportunities in every part of Nigeria.
At an elaborate occasion, which featured Red Carpet, musical performances, comedy show as well as fashion parade with models striding the runway, those in attendance were intimated of the robust tourism status of, and potentials in Nigeria begging for attention and how the photo completion will in no small measure assist in exposing them to the world.
The brain child of Hon. Rosemary Nkem Okeke, an accomplished diplomat, entrepreneur and winner of 1984/85 Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant, the contest is her idea geared towards propagating the benefits of tourism as it relates to Nigeria’s economy and her people.
The Romarox Tourism Photo Competition, making its second outing, the organiser informed, requires would-be participants to take part in a registration process that spans from March 2, 2019 to October 16, 2019 and is in such categories as Special Scenery, Natural Wonders, Legendary Materials/Iconic Human and Eco System Festivals. Others are History, Monument, and Development Tourist Sites.
The competition, it was further disclosed, will have the winners emerge through a voting process that will start from October 17, 2019 and end on November 17, 2019 and is open to Nigerians and foreigners residing in Nigeria or have visited Nigeria.
All a would-be contestant needs to do is to take an original picture and log onto https://rtpc.romaroxresources.com and register by clicking on the category he or she wishes to compete in. Winning prizes include a brand new car for the overall winner each winner from the seven categories will take home=N=500,000 and lots of consolation prizes.
