Nineteen-year-old boy, Lateef Adekunle, was on Wednesday ordered to be remanded in Ilesha Correctional Center by a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital for allegedly being in possession of substance suspected to be cannabis, popularly called India hemp.
The prosecutor, Idowu Rachael, informed the court that the accused person committed the crime on November 4, 2019 at Owode Market, Okuku town, in Osun State, adding that the offence committed was contrary to and punishable under section 249(d) of the criminal code cap 38c law of Osun State.
The accused person, however, pleaded not guilty to the two count charge levelled against him.
The magistrate, Mrs Risikat Olayemi, therefore, ordered that the accused should be remanded in Ilesa correctional centre till November 11, as she transferred the case to Okuku magistrate court.
