The creative community in Nigerian has lost yet another one of its own. This time, it is the death of singer, Lotanna Udueze, more popularly known as BigLo, who gave up the ghost on Christmas day.

His colleague, Jazzman Olofin, confirmed his death on his Instagram page.

Biglo’s close friends disclosed that he had kidney ailment which was diagnosed in 2018 and last year, he began undergoing dialysis at a nursing home in California, U.S three times a week.

He also tried raising funds for treatment. His UK based cousin, Zuby Udezue tried to raise £50,000; about N23 million at that time.

Biglo who was popular especially in the early 2000s with fellow musicians, 2shotz and StylPlus, shot into limelight with the hit ‘Delicious’ which featured 2shotz. Although the track earned him a HipHop World Award for Best Rap Collabo, the chubby rapper however, went underground after the buzz died down.

Some of his colleagues have taken to their twitter handles to mourn the passing of the rapper. They include Sam Klef, who wrote on his Twitter handle, “Life is 2 short. Rapper Biglo dies after a long battle with a kidney ailment. RIP BIGLO”.

Wrote Veteran rapper, Ruggedman: “I am weak but God knows everything. I am happy to have met you and been your friend. You and your one style shoulder dance. Rest on my brother. I celebrate you.

“I thank God for life. We lost a brother yesterday. Always thank God for your life and live it as best as you can”.
