Femi-Fani-Kayode’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s remark about his character, Enyinnaya Baribe, has said.
Abaribe, spoke while reacting to the defection of the former Aviation Minister from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The two-time minister had officially joined APC Thusday during a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.
The lawyer-turned-politician was presented to Buhari by the acting National Chairman of the APC, Mai Mala-Buni.
Reacting to the defection, Abaribe described Fani-Kayode as a confused human being.
Said the Senate Minority Leader while on Arise TV programme: “I do not want to dwell on his issue. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had said it all before ‘Femi Fani-Kayode is my boy. Provide him food, he will eat and then sing for you. He’s a smart boy'”.
The Senate Minority Leader recalled that Obasanjo once said Fani-Kayode would always go to where there is “food”, stressing also that the PDP would return to power in 2023.
He noted that the APC had done nothing good for Nigeria since assuming power in 2015.
Insisted Abaribe: “No one can really pinpoint any good thing done by APC since 2015. The PDP will win the presidential election in 2023″.
