Over N30 billion supplementary budget has been approved for the Kogi State’s 2021 appropriation bill.
Approval for the supplementary bill was given by the State House of Assembly, following the clause-by-clause consideration by the committee of supply during the plenary on Thursday.
The approval, which brings the 2021 appropriation bill to over N160 billion, was done under the request of Governor Yahaya Bello to meet the developmental needs of the state.
Governor Bello had in August 2021 transmitted a letter requesting the Assembly to approve the supplementary budget.
