‘Conversation In Transit’ Takes Off On Set

Saturday February 5, 2022, witnessed the opening shoot on set of the impending destination flick, “Conversation In Transit”, with an assemblege of an array of seasoned thespians all rearing to go.

Set in a moving train, the cast and crew converged on the new Mobolaji Johnson Train Station in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, for the production of the movie which Robert Peters, director, described as a project that was well planned with every attention paid to details.

Peters, boasting quite a number of films under his shoulders, excitedly told a handful of a select media that “Conversation In Transit” was going to be the first film shot almost 98 per-cent on a moving train.

Although, it poses a challenge for him as a director, Peters held that it was going to bring out the best in him with regard to the way he works which he also finds exciting.

Said he: “This is a new process for me, I am happy, I am excited and I can’t wait to shoot this film”.

With the full complement of all the segments of production in place – make-over artists, camera men, wood workers, light men and sound experts coupled with state-of-the-art equipment on ground, the actors were in tip-top mood for the action, expressing delight at being part of an epoch-making motion pucture project.

Uzee Usman, who plays the role of Umar expressed joy for being cast in “Conversation In Transit“. He described the movie as original for which he loves it.

Said Usman: “I love the originality of the story, in fact, its originality is top notch; internationally, we are going to take Nigeria and the infrastructure in terms of railway to a global view”.

Describing the movie as a simple story which took place in the train, Usman said that it was a proof that Nigeria had evolved to the stage of doing marvelous projects in the world movie space.

Tope Telila

Tope Telila is one of the actors. He is Emeka in the movie. Tope regards the entire story as an engaging love affair that reveals the different sides of relationships; love, family and forgiveness.

Though, he has not played in a full blown love movie before, Tope sees the whole setting as both a challenge and delight to be in the mix.

Said he: “It’s a challenge and a delight to be on this one. It’s great, we’re shooting on the train, I have only been on the train once while in the secondary school.

“I hope that everything comes together and we’ll all have a fantastic experience”.

Tana Adelana

On the part of Tana Adelana who is Inih in “Conversation In Transit“, the movie has profound messages that make one listen to one’s intuition; love if you have to love and trust when you want to trust.

Said she: “The end game of every movie is to get a satisfied audience, so I do anticipate that the audience will be satisfied; they will enjoy every second of the film; no dull moment, no sad moment”.

Conversation In Transit” is produced by Rogers Ofime, starring Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Rahama Sadau, and Yvonne Nelson among others
