A new talent show, The Voice Africa, was on Wednesday Unveiled in Lagos, and is set for its debut edition any moment from now.
Organisers said the show, formerly called The Voice Nigeria, at the unveiling event said that it would now be known as The Voice Africa.
The show, the organisers announced in a statement, is an initiative aimed at building on the success of The Voice Nigeria.
Sponsored by Airtel Africa, The Africa Voice is expected to feature participants from 14 African countries.
The winner of the show will take home a grand prize of $100,000.
Submission of entries for the show which will be broadcast in March 2023, with the grand finale billed to take place later in the year, is scheduled to begin on October 21 and end on November 10.

Speaking at the event, Segun Ogunsanya, group chief executive officer (GCEO) of Airtel Africa, said the show would help unlock the potential of youths in Africa.

The Voice Africa gives us an incredible platform to help discover and champion the musical talents of young Africans, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
