Some NIGMA organisers’ at the media event to unveil the new logo
The Nigeria Gospel Music Awards, is to make a return with its fifth edition at the Shell Hall of the high braw Muson Center, Lagos, this November after a nine-year hiatus.
This was revealed last week by the organisers at a media event held in Ikeja, Lagos.
They further disclosed the rebanding of the event, from Nigeria Gospel Music Awards to the Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards (NIGMA), adding that the move was in recognition of the ever-expanding reach and influence of Nigerian gospel music on the global stage.
Unveiling the new NIGMA logo, Kingsley Omoefe, Team Lead cum Chief Responsibility Officer of the awards ceremony, told the gathering the transformation was in sync organisers’ vision to celebrate and promote the exceptional talents of Nigerian gospel music artistes on a global scale, stressing the new logo embodied their commitment to excellence, unity, and the profound impact of Nigerian gospel music worldwide
Said he: “The transformation aligns with our vision to celebrate and promote the exceptional talents of Nigerian gospel music artistes on a global scale. The new logo embodies our commitment to excellence, unity, and the profound impact of Nigerian gospel music worldwide”.
Omoefe also invited all stakeholders, including gospel music artistes, industry professionals, sponsors, and music enthusiasts, to embrace this exciting new chapter.
Noted he: “The Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards will serve as a platform to foster connections, inspire collaborations, and celebrate the incredible musical heritage of Nigeria”.
Victor Igbinigie (gospogroove), Project Director of the event, stated that the awards ceremony would continue its tradition of honoring outstanding achievements in the gospel music industry.
Offered Igbinigie: “The revamped awards ceremony will showcase remarkable talents across various categories, recognising artistes, songwriters, producers, and other contributors, who have made significant contributions to the genre’s growth and influence”.
