Charles Oputa, a.k.a. Charly Boy, on Monday weighed in on the controversy surrounding the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) score of Ms. Mmesoma Ejikeme, the Anambra State schoolgirl.
In his reaction to the matter, Charly Boy, who took to his Twitter handle on Monday night, expressed skepticism over the claim by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
He called on the board to make Mmesoma’s examination papers available for a re-mark by an external body.
Wrote he: “JAMB must produce her paper for an external body to re-mark. I don’t trust the mark they claim they awarded her right now.
“JAMB has ended up making the young girl popular and the girl on the other hand exposed JAMB corruption & ineptitude just like INEC”.
Mmesoma who earlier claimed to have scored 362, highest in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), was later accused by the JAMB, of forging her result.
Mmesoma, speaking in a viral video on Monday, expresses surprise that a result she printed out from the JAMB portal could be termed as fake by the examination board without proper investigation.
She in the video, vehemently denies the allegation, saying she is not capable of manipulating her own result.
