All systems are rolling in readiness for the National Day of Prayer scheduled for May 25, with 40 days to go to the big event which ushers in the master blaster COSON Week 2025. Mrs. Bernice Eriemeghe-Ashibuogwu, General Manager, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), made this known in a statement issued Tuesday in Lagos.
The renowned accountant and administrator announced that any moment from now, the distinct invitation cards for “COSON in the Church”, would start rolling out to those who would personally be at Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa, Ikeja, the multi-denominational Christian centre, which would be the epicentre of the National Day of Prayer from which the songs and praise of Nigeria’s topmost gospel singers and ministers of the gospel, would be beamed to millions of citizens, in towns and villages across Nigeria and across the world from 4.00 pm on May 25.
Said Ashibuogwu: “Those who do not get the invitation cards do not have to worry, because Nigerians everywhere in the country and around the world, who organise their own Praise & Worship groups, can link up and fully participate in the National Day of Prayer and receive the blessings that will flow”.
The COSON GM said that the groups could be set up in churches, schools, playgrounds, hotels, restaurants, eateries, bars, village squares or even private living rooms, to participate in what would be this first of its kind National Day of Prayer, in the history of Nigeria, promising that details of the various Broadcast Channels, YouTube sites, Zoom links, Streaming and Social Media Platforms that would enable any group or individual with a television set, a computer or a smartphone to fully participate in the history-making live transmission, would be made public.
The astute administrator added that the full Board of COSON met a week before, and for hours, analysed each of the seven back-to-back events of the COSON Week, gave clear assignments and instructions to those who would execute each event and a lot of work was already going on.
Stated she: “I am satisfied that the COSON Week systems are rolling. Anybody who knows COSON well, knows that we are very thorough, well organised and professional. We do not promise what we will not do. Take it from me, COSON Week 2025 will be stupendous!”
